Why we founded Iliade Digital

In the beginning, the observation was simple: SMEs and VSEs in the Var deserved better than poorly optimized templated sites or overpriced redesigns from Parisian agencies disconnected from the local market. Too often, business owners came to us with a site that wasn't ranking, was slow, didn't convert — and a service provider unreachable for the past 6 months.

Iliade Digital was founded in 2017 with a clear promise: high-performing WordPress websites, delivered on short timelines, with no middlemen, at controlled prices. 9 years later, we still stand by that same promise, just with more client cases to back it up.

Our positioning

We occupy a precise segment: that ofindependent web agency specialized in small and mid-size businesses. Not a junior freelancer (who produces throwaway work), not an overpriced Paris agency (who has no time for you), not offshore low-cost (who produces poorly coded sites). The right security/quality/price ratio for a business owner who wants a serious website without breaking the bank.

WordPress, because it is the CMS that best combines flexibility, ecosystem, post-delivery autonomy, and longevity. But poorly built WordPress is still poor — hence our obsession with performance (Lighthouse 90+), security (systematic hardening, HTTP headers, monitoring), and client autonomy (training, full access, proprietary code). For highly specific needs (apps, SaaS, platforms), we develop custom solutions in Symfony, Node.js, or React depending on the requirement.

Our local commitment

Based in Carqueiranne (between Hyères and Toulon), we primarily support businesses in the Var and the Côte d'Azur — see our coverage area of 19 served cities in the Var — for in-person meetings, for our knowledge of the local business ecosystem, and for the accountability that comes with proximity. But we also work by video with clients across France and Europe when the project allows. Being digital is no excuse for being unavailable — our clients know who is working with them, and can drop by the office whenever they like.
